    How’s a 919 compair to others ?

In the near future I want to purchase a 919 I did own a 06 stratos 200 pro xl and my last boat 09 ranger z520, my fishing partner has a 16 Skeeter fx-20 which is nice but was never impressed with Skeeter , been in a 14 nitro z9 ride wasn’t that bad but quality isn’t there compared to the others imo but anyway has anyone been in any of these boats or any others can compair to a 919 as far as ride and comfort , I’m leaning toward a 919 because of size and is a little cheaper then a 721 or 920. I live in nj our biggest lake is a puddle compared to other states lol take trip to candlewood in Connecticut which is about 6800 akers, just don’t want to get beat when those ski boats come flying by , not sure if a 919 would do it

I can’t comment on ride but if you are only going to be fishing small lakes in jersey you may want to look at the 819 as well. Its the same exact boat just a 200 hp rating and cost a lot less.

If you knew this already I apologize, just adding another option

I have the 819 which is the 919 hull with a 200. Better standard features with the 919 package but essentially same boat. The 819 fishes pretty big and rides nice and soft. I came out of a Ranger 461 which fished awesome but ride, not so much. Pretty biug deck up front. Only things I don't like is that huge forward middle deck compartment. I travel pretty light so don't need that much storage up there. And the trailer which is OK, but it's no Ranger or BCB trailer.

I found the best deal for me and my trade at Wieda's in KY. Not sure if you'd be able to get the 919 with a SHO this year. But that is something I would change. I would get away from my XS as the extended warranties are horrendously expensive compared to what you can get from Yamaha or Evinrude.

Yes I would definitely agree rangers have the best most reliable trailers out there .

The 919 can handle anything you would put a 21 ft boat in without hesitation.

Phoenix is one of the only companies that uses same hull thru out the line. The difference is length which is what will give you a better ride with Phoenix in the rough stuff. You will fine the 919 will ride really well on ski boat waves as it will cut through them like a knife through butter. I have owned a Skeeter 20I,rangers 2004 VX521, and 2012 Z522. the Phoenix has by far the softest ride in the industry. You can not tell some one who has not been in one how good it really is, so you will need to ride in one and you will buy, if the ride is important to you. The lay out is great and the 919 with a 225 is a low to mid 70's boat so it will be really good on fuel when you run in the high 50's to low 60's your motor won't be turning 5000 RPM. just my .02

Like the gentlemen above said, 819 and 919 basically same boat. I went 919 because of better standard options. I only upgraded few things. Rides like a dream. You need to go ride in one, Phoenix 921 is right, you can’t explain how well it rides for a 19’8” boat. Fuel consumption is great as he said, and I came from a 4 stroke. I have the proXS. Good luck in your hunt.

The 919 will never be a 21ft boat so keep that in mind. Great ridding boat for its class maybe even the best currently out but that doesn’t come without possible issues. However most if not all issues are fixable and Phoenix will work with you but they really need to step up their qc department.

i went from a 2005 Skeeter TZX 200 which was 19.5 feet and i loved the boat when I had and have a 2017 919 and amazed how much better ride it is. The 919 is wider and has hull that is better for waves. I have had it on Kentucky lake a couple times but most of my fishing is on small lakes that have a TON of skiers and think the chop from those can be worse than wind most days.

Like others have said, the 919 is a great boat but it won't ever be a 21' boat. I wouldn't hesitate to take one out on rayburn when it's nasty though. Rough water ride is a big thing around here, a big thing. There's a reason so many people have a phoenix now. Personally, I say get the longest boat you can afford and have a good storage for. If that's a 919, you won't be disappointed at all, especially on tournament morning when that 225 is eating up those bigger rigs with 250s and 300s

I ran a 919 a few years ago on Rayburn/Toledo for a year and half. Speed is there, top end can hit 74-76. Rough water ride is there, routinely passed up 20 plus footers in rough water. Plenty of storage. BEST 19 ft. class boat on the market hands down. Brian McCarty on this forum bought it from me, he can testify as well.

I've ran my 819 for a year now 72 hrs in all sorts of condition and if something were to happen to it today and I had to replace it . I'm heading to my dealer for a 819 or 919.
