I heard from some dealers that he sent out his resignation letter this week. Has anybody else heard this?

It may be true . But i don't know . Read here on the board the other day .....that they let all the big wheels go at Triton in Tnn even Mr Bentz .
I'm sure Gambler4 will be along shortly to dispel any rumours.
He's going to Vexus.

I don’t believe he retired. He resigned. I heard that Bass Pro wanted him to stay so they could put his name on the side of the boat but have nothing to do with the day to day business.. Ole John L destroying another boat company.
I was told this by one of the Triton Pros yesterday at the East TN fishing Show in Knoxville
"If people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles." ~Doug Larson
He's retired to Tyne Blv in Nashville
Congrats to Earl, he has put his time in over the years and a real tribute to the bass fishing industry.
Yep it comes to a time we all , will have to let it go .A Good man indeed .
I hope he finds another project to work on. Would be a shame to lose his drive and intellect. There’s plenty of time in between brainstorms and projects to hunt and fish..
Wonder if Tritons owners will continue?
With Earl gone, no one may have any reasons to continue. He was always at everyone of the events. The one here on KY Lake has went on for years now. Paris TN will miss that money.
It is true, he has retired. Could have stayed, collected a paycheck, and just been a figure head like Forrest, but he chose to just retire.
The owners tournament will continue, but Mr. B will not be there. He always enjoyed meeting all the anglers.
He's a legend in the industry. Good for him. More time for hunting & fishing.
