    I had the question of setback asked of me Too Johnny. Mine measured a perfect 9.5”. Yours probably is the same given the 4” spacer.

    The wedge shouldn't count as setback IMO.

    Curious why not? When the motor is trimmed thickness of the wedge is setback.

    I can't learn you nothing Powell. �� Setback is the measurement between the motor and the boat. Don't have anything to do with connecting brackets other than width of bracket[s].
    1/2 inch is like a foot according to my method of measurement. Lol

    I tend to agree with you Tim. So I am looking for some edgification. Its a 1/2 inch at the top and 1/16 at the bottom how does that add into the setback measurement.

    Matters not trimmed or no trimmed. Engine is still 1/2 inch farther from the boat at the furthest point. I guess if all measurements were taken at neutral trim it would be like 1/2 inch spacer/block. No different than JP with degree.

    The motor pivots at the top of the wedge so once trimmed to appropriate running angle the motor is 1/2" farther away from the hull than if no wedges.
