Already has a set back. But I have a 6-8in jack plate. Would I benefit from installing? I'm 5400rpm @ 58mph.
also guy at the shop is trying to talk me into replacing the 97' intruder 150 that is on my boat with my 2000 vmax 150 with a brand new lower unit. The Yamaha has a 25m that's has been worked a little. If I decided to swap motors what do you think about the 25m? Currently have a 23 raker on the rude from what o can see.

If you switch motors you should be able to run the 25 M since the vmax has 2.0 gears
