Shoe mileage?

How many miles are you guys getting out of your running shoes? I'm trying to decide if I'm wearing my shoes out or if I am just assuming?

I have no idea....... I have run a lot. Mine are still in great shape. Do not do marathons or anything crazy. I would think when you cant see the grooves in the soles anymore or they start wearing on the sides.

My running kid gets new shoes about every 3 months. Runs 6-12 miles per day depending on weather. And these are the 150+ running shoes.

350- 500miles. Depending on brand and sole.

I walk, so I tend to keep mine too long. At my weight I should change them out faster. I normally get new ones every year or so.

40 years ago when I was a runner I'd get 1 1/2- 2 years out of a pair of Brooks. I only ran about 2 1/2 miles a day on asphalt.
