Thumbs Up Sign up to fish the February NoAl tournament on Smith Lake.....

I know we had planned on fishing Wilson this month but I'm really concerned about fishing any of the Tennessee River lakes this Saturday because of the extremely heavy current and debris from all the rain we've had recently. A number of local tournaments have been either postponed or cancelled entirely and I just heard on the news that even commercial barge traffic has been suspended on at least part of the river. With even more rain in the forecast on Friday and Saturday, I really think it's best to reconsider our tournament plans. I've talked to a couple of the other guys and instead of cancelling it totally, we will move this month's tournament site to Smith Lake out of Duncan Bridge Marina. Registration will begin at 5:00 with "ease off" at first light which should be right around 6:00 and weigh in at 3:00 pm.

I apologize for such late notice but I really feel this is a much safer alternative.

    Confirmed Participants

    Avery Faile & David Scogin
    Harry Speegle
    Kerry Copeland & Eric Davis
    Terry Burleson & Mike Lolley

Isn't Alan fishing too, or is that a "game time" decision?

Just a heads up, the ABT is on Pickwick on the 17th. Not sure if that will effect any of your normal folks in these.

Even though it's a team format, we often have guys fish solo. The only issue I see so far is that you have to have been a BBC member for more than 30 days (which you obviously have) AND have made a minimum of ten (10) posts in any forum other than the Daily Funnies or any of the Swap & Sale Forums. We'd love to have you join us so just a couple of more posts and you've got it made! And they don't have to be long, drawn out posts either - just a simple "thumbs up" for something you agree with works just fine!!

Here's a link to the rest of the rules and registration forms. https://www.dropbox.com/s/l955tzd6rn18io9/BBC.pdf?dl=0

Oh, and entry fee is $20 per boat with an optional $10 Big Fish pot.

Kerry, you must be talking about one of those toy plastic hammers. My fishing has been so bad, I got desperate enough to go to Smith for a couple of hours on Monday. Did catch a couple nice ones for the wife and I to eat. Looking forward to seeing you at Wilson.

I hope to catch the next one. Does both fishermen have to be members? My son(11yrs) is my main partner these days. Or my brother.

No, only one of you need to be a BBC member and there is no minimum age for your partner. We'd sure like you and your son to join us anytime!

As soon as I recover from my back injury. I'm in. I've already missed hunting and my favorite time to fish. We got some ground to make up. Lol
