    Ulterra US2 connecting to Helix. 10

    I am suppose to pick up a Ulterra first part of next week, it is equipped with US2.
    i have a new Helix 10 gen 1 that I will put on the bow.

    Will I need any kind of adapter for the cable to hook the Helix to the Ulterra ?.
    And in using the US2 I should be able to have SI, DI and sonar on the Helix ???

    The US2 only does 2D sonar.........
    There is no adapter that will make it do Imaging of any kind.

    If referring to a Link model and want to connect it to the Helix then you would need an Ethernet Adapter cable AS EC QDE. If you only want to use 2D from the US2, then there is a separate adapter cable for it. (MKR-US2-8)

    No, not a link model.

    Can I use a puck style transducer?
    Will it affect the auto deploy system?

    Are there any other options ?

    You use the transducer that comes with it. Just needs a trolling motor mount.

    Like all electric steer motors, you will have cable management issues since you cannot attach the cable to the motor shaft.

    There are some cable management products that use a coiled air hose.
    Precision Sonar Cable Guard is one of them.

    You were asking about connecting the TM to the Helix....so that can only be done with Link models. Can only use the remote/pedal for non-link models.

    The non-LINK Ulterra freshwater motors have the US2 transducer also.

    I don't think they have an option for not having US2 on the newer motors. Just wasn't sure on which connection the OP was referring to when it wasn't specified in the first question.

    I checked the Minnkota site and the saltwater models don't have the US2.
