    BasserJim inspired me!

    I wasn't gonna post here til I hit my first goal, but today marked a small milestone in my journey to a healthier me. It has been 12 weeks today since I've had a soda. Not just soda, but any sugary soft drink. When I need a bubbly beverage to curb the cravings, I have a sparkling water.

    I started out at 372#. My initial goal is to lose 10%. As of right now, I'm down 24#, just from cutting out the soda!

    Soda is really bad for you. I drink Gatorade....still has sugar I know but I feel its not the same "badness" as soda is. Water is the best.. there are lots of other alternatives to soda. Once you find something else you wont miss that soda.

    Haven't checked in for a while. I was stalled at 348 for a few weeks. When I weighed in on Friday, much to my surprise and delight, the scale read 344. Back on track, not that I was ever off of it. Still haven't had any soda!

    Figured I'd check in again. Dropped another 4# since then, down a total of 32#. Only 5 more to go to hit my initial goal!!

    Next goal, another 35#. I'd love to get out of the 300 club!
