    generic reel spring needed

    I lost one of the two small springs all baitcasters have . The springs push the pinion gear into place when the handle is engauged. Every brand of reel seems to use the same spring . I'm hoping someone has an old parts reel and would be willing to send me one . I hate to pay 7.00 shipping from a repair service.

    Depending on your reel make and model, there may be difference in size. At least I find this even among all my Shimanos.

    They are definitely not generic lol. If you'll supply me with your reel make and model, Id be happy to get you the spring you need.

    I have made some out of the little spring that is in a clicking pen. If you find one that is the right diameter, you just can cut to size. Don't ask me how I know this, and it wasn't me that lost it.
