    Washing hull

Washing my boat today after a ride to LOZ and getting a Salt, dirt and water bath. It doesn’t not make for a silverish boat look silver, more like poopy brown....all over. Even books and crannies. Did not think of bringing cover....ya never again. Washing bottom of hull. Got about 3/4 of it by taking mechanic dolly and sliding under. But from about livewell back in the center of boat. Pain the a$$. Any one use a long handled brush with towel? Is there something I should have that is better than bacon? Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks.

Can't beat a BLT. Then finish washing.

I never use a creeper to get under the boat. I just lay on the gravel driveway. But a washing mit on a rod sounds good. Maybe one of those swirly things that attaches to the garden hose ment to wash the side of a motorhome.

Getting between the axels is the worst. My chest won’t go past them. Have to reach as far as I can. Considered putting it on jacks to get between the axels.

I have a long handle thing I got from AutoZone. It's made for truck tops or tall vehicles. Works good for the bottom but I never do the whole thing. Just the front as far back as I can reach. I figure 60mph lake water keeps it pretty clean

I use this. You can connect your water hose to it if you want. Here’s the amazon link but I got mine at Walmart for under $20 I think.

Reaches pretty much everywhere between bunks.

**the one from Walmart isn’t telescopic but is long enough to reach under the boat.

You are supposed to wash the bottom?

Okay I am terrible, maybe once in 5 years, love having a black bottom.

This spring it will get a bath.

I have a black bottom also. I should have thought of that.. I started washing and well.......I get very particular once I get going on washing. I can clean up to what no one can see, but I know its there. I guess I will get over that once I have the boat for a while. I can use the handle for my truck.

90 seconds to ramp. Not much trailering. Not an issue. But, I do seal the bottom back to even with the wheels twice a year. Love a black bottom.
