Have not bought a new boat before. Are there no negotiations on boats? The boats I am looking at are about 36,800, but I need if for 33,500....

try to find a leftover..
Lol, we all "need" everything for less money.
As mentioned look for a new old stock boat and you should be able to negotiate the price.
New, old stock is where it’s at!
2019 Ranger Z520L
Evinrude ETEC 250 H.O. G2
you should for sure be able to get on for that price you want, especially a left over.
That’s a lot off on a 2018 in that price range. But it never hurts to try. On a 2017 that should be doable. I’ll also jump in—you will probably hear this a lot—but there are two other ways you could go that might make sense. The 198 series is a lot of boat and possibly in your price range if you’re not totally opposed to aluminum. If you haven’t seen one, visit Knox Marine and take a look. You may be surprised. Also, clean used boats, especially with some remaining factory warranty, can stretch your dollar a lot. Buying used from a top-notch dealer gives you the reassurance that you’re not buying someone else’s problems with no backup, and letting someone else pay that initial depreciation can get you more boat than you otherwise could afford (or want to spend).

MSRP Is 33700, what your saying is the bank will only give you that and you cant pitch in the tax, title, destination?

Trying to pay cash without using a bank... so that is why.
He didn’t say how the boat was equipped. Very few come through entirely bare bones.

Knox seems like a great dealership!
Their service is ridiculously good, and you can trust anything Steve or Mike tells you. Many other great Ranger dealers around the country, but we are fortunate to have one so close to home. (Feel free to contact me offline if you have other questions I might be able to address. Just a private citizen here, but I do my share of boat-shopping, and then some!)

I have a garage space issue and a HOA... So Z185, Triton 189 TRX, or Basscat Sabre are the options. I want the Ranger, but might have to cheap out on a 17 Triton.. It is only for a few years until I sell and move. (hate living in town, but kids in school)
It appears you don't negotiate new boats then...

Yes they do...just keep looking
Guys, let’s not go down this same path again as the thread from 2 days ago. Yes, some negotiations are possible, but without knowing specifics, or actually being a participant in the negotiation, none of us can definitely state what is possible.

If you are going to move in a few years buy a newer used then buy your dream boat when you have room?

I looked at all the boats you are considering as well, went with the Ranger. Triton would have been my next choice.

A little bit of a drive but probably not to bad for you. They’ve had this 17 leftover for a while and would probably be willing to deal on this. I’ve considered this boat before I recently ordered a 2018. The G2 adds a little to the price but well worth it IMO.

Found a 2017 at excellent price, but the dang Yamaha makes it too long for my garage. I have to pivot slightly with the ProXS to make it fit....
