Frontrunners for blade baits/big lipless baits

Has anyone tried attaching a front runner to a big blade bait/lipless in the winter? I知 noticing that the largemouth are congregating with the white bass/perch and when I can get the perch/white bass to react I can normally get the largemouth fired up to. I知 thinking I can mimick this response by adding a frontrunner. I知 sure I値l lose at least some vibration by doing this but wanted to get some thoughts. Also, Anyone know of a frontrunner that doesn稚 float?

I have not tried that but I use a Sammy 65 instead of a front runner when using walking baits. They sig sag in different directions and work great.

So, school me on a Frontrunner. You tie a foot in front of a Spook or other walking bait? I looked them up and they sound interesting for sure.
Also, if using the Sammy 65 are you removing the back treble to tie on in front of another lure?
