Does anyone know if the drag disc on the Metanium MGL require grease or do they run dry? Took mine apart yesterday for cleaning and the disc look dry and seems to be a carbon material.

I use Cals purple grease on all my reels including these. Just a thin layer is all ya need

Thin layer of grease makes it strip smoother and not grab when you hit the drag.
Yes, its a wet drag and it should be greased if you want it smooth.
