    190

Hey guys I sold my last champion by mistake last year. Looking at a 1998 190 with a 200 mercury and tandem trailer. Good shape. What do yalll think would be a good price range? And are there any special considerations for year and model? Thanks ahead of time.

A lot will depend on condition gel coat , seats , carpet , hours on motor , electronics , etc. good starting point $ 5,000

Bought my 1993 190 nine years ago for $6,500. It was very clean, all original equipment. Over the years, I upgraded quite a few items, electronics, trolling motor, Jack plate, cover. So a lot depends on how well kept its been over the years, and how many upgrade's it has. I agree with Bill, 5,000 for starting rock bottom price, and then start adding for upgrades.

Good luck, the 190 is a nice rig, not too small, not super big. Maybe one of the easiest driving smoothest boats I've even been in. I see 58-62 with my 150 Intruder. With a Merc 200, most likely a consistent 65 MPH rig.

My bud paid $8k for his and it wasn’t in mint condition, good condition at best; but they are hard to come by in our area.
Check the transom for brown streaks, spots.

Good condition 190's in the Midwest are priced north of 8K.

I sold my 1993 Champ 190 several years ago for more than 10k. It was a great condition, upgraded boat that was near mint.

I agree around here. I don't think I've seen one under 8k when I do see it. I saw one the other day and he wanted 8k with a bad motor.

I have 96 190. Love the boat. The only downsides are the small rear compartments and mine has the rear mounted gas tank. Three batteries and an oil tank and there's barely room for a charger. Front storage is great and a blast to drive, nimble and turns like it's on rails. No problems with the boat.

Springfield, MO. Craigslist is always a good starting point for Champions, they always seem to have a bunch for sale. Here's a peach of a 190

    https://springfield.craigslist.org/b...451934397.html

    Priced kinda high at $12,500.

If you can step up in size there's a nice '95 202 for $11,900 in Willow Springs, MO.

or another in Branson, though it's underpowered with a 150hp.

First Champ I rode in was a 1994 190 DCX Elite. had a 2001 merc 200 on it spinning a 25 Trophy. would run 69.5 all day long chinewalking the whole way. back then we didn't know what to do to drive the walk. if we would have I think it would have been a 70mph boat.
they ride great and have a great layout on them and the back deck is set up well also.
cant really go wrong with one

If it’s the one in pickwick. Better check the fiberglass by driver seat. It’s in rough shape.

Yeah I saw that spot. Looks like something hit it. Did you see anything else of concern?

I have owned 5 Champions a 190 DC, a 198, a 200, a 203 and my present 1993 190 which I love due to the ride, it's not as roomy as the 198 or the 200 and the 203 but the ride is amazing, its easy to drive, tow and is goreous. I had three different people stop me on the Benton Harbor area just to tell me how beautiful they thought it was. Love the boat wish it had a 225 HP rating.
