    Fury 24p 4 blade on 618

I’ve been running a 23 tempest since new on my pro xs 175. I really wanted a 24 fury 3 blade instead but went with the tempest. I feel like living in the Deep South and low elevation that the fury 24 would have been better. I’m either gonna buy a furry 24 3 or 4 blade this year. Does anyone have any experience with wither

A 24p fury is equal to a 25 tempest rpm wise. What are your rpms with the 23 tempest?

5900-6000 WOT. Mercury website claims of you run the 24 fury 3 blade that you can run a 24 4 blade

Analog. It has never hit the rev limiter

My bet is that the analog gauge is not correct as in most/all cases.....you think you turning those RPM's until you see it on a MercMonitor and it a lower....max for the 175 is 5750 (per website)....so i'd think that the if you were turning that much the limiter would have kicked in.....just my thoughts....

I’m quite aware that the analog is probably off. All I’m asking is if anyone has run a 24 fury 4 blade. I know some run a fury 24 3 blade. According to Mercury if you can run a fury 3 blade a 4 blade should work fine.

From everything I've heard and read, the pitch stays the same from a a fury 3 to a 4.

The 4 blade will usually turn a touch more rpm (100-150) than the 3 because the 4 likes to run about an inch higher p2p

    I have a 175 as well, it has a 24p tempest+. WOT I turn 5950-6000 rpm. I would think you would turn more with just a 23p

I have the Fury 24 4 blade on the 175 pro xs on my 618. I have not bumped the rev limiter, it is 3 3/4" below the pad. Full gas tank loaded with tackle and 2 200 pound fisherman it runs 64. I have seen 67 in great conditions going with the current. It handles great and the hole shot is better with the 4 blade that the 3 blade I had.
