I seem to recall that Denny sold the embroidery biz to Chelsea (I think that's her name). He called me the other week, but I never thought to ask. Google the company and call her and ask. Last time we talked about the apparel, Denny said he had been threatened by PE....but all that might have changed.

With Champion apparel? I know that after the Champ crap PE pulled, the embroidery folks were doing Phoenix stuff as well as another brand...Strike King I think. Love it if they can do Champion apparel again!!!

I bought a champ hoodie and hat from them at the Ultimate Challenge Tourney. They can do champion and charger apparel and the prices aren't bad. Don't believe the have a website but you can reach them through Facebook.
I figured it was just some guys taking a risk and hoping to not get caught. Isn’t there a time limit on patents? Might be their loop hole.

That would be great, I've already replaced the zipper on my Champion jacket once and the jacket is starting to get thin. Local embroidery shop has an identical jacket but will not copy the Champion Logo's. I'd love to get a replacement Champion life jacket also since mine was thrown away years ago.

Kinda hard to imagine keeping that patent inforce considering the boat company is now defunct and never to be seen again.
As I mentioned above, it had nothing to do with a patent, it is the logo copyright that PE was enforcing. It owned the company name and the artwork whether the company was operational or not.
First who is PE, and I too want to get some PFD's with the champion logo....getting away from the inflatables because of what happen at FLW in Florida.

ChampionDon, PE is Platinum Equities, an investment firm which bought Champion, Stratos and Ranger out of the Genmar bankruptcy in the '09-'10 time-frame.. PE has since sold to Johnny Morris of BPS fame.
