I don't know about a video.... but just passing along that you can go to the Minn kota website, click on support and download all the different instruction manuals thad does not come in the box with the motor. They have a pretty detailed section on using the controller and either i-pilot or i-pilot link.

In the box of your new ultrex, there will be a paper dedicated to the operation of your remote. Read it, and you'll understand it better. It helped me a ton!

Question on the Bluetooth. What’s happens if your phone dies! Happens quite frequently. Wouldn’t the I pilot be for this alone?

The heading sensor is powered though. Nothing to do with your cell phone

Thanks guys, appreciate the replies! I did download the owners manual and do have the quick reference guide that came in box. I've looked at several you tube vids.
Yesterday afternoon, I went to lake and played around with it. This thing is wonderful. spot lock opens a whole new realm to fishing. Just trying to get as much input as possible. More info makes a better experience.

I also have Lowrance. I chose I pilot because linking to hummingbirds is not available plus the lakes in East TN where I mostly hang out can fluctuate 40ft or more from winter to summer pool.

With a good map card you can offset the depth to eliminate that area that is out of the water.

I have the I-Pilot link model and never use the remote control. To much trouble for me. I just press the spot lock button on the base and if I want to move unlock and then press again. The remote just gets in the way.
