livewell auto pump button just flashes

    2014 Alpha 191
Any ideas? All other buttons seems to work. Auto light comes on and flashes. Pump won't come on. Have to turn off the breaker to stop the light from flashing but as soon as you push the button again it just flashes.

Same thing happened on mine. The pump was locked and i had to remove the pump and turn it with a pair of channelocks. That freed it up and it never froze up again

Do you have a 191. If so how did you get to your pump?

I had a 199. The pumps were located in front of the gas tank. I could put my hand on the pump and you could feel it hum when it was turned on.

What auto light is flashing? Is it the light on your pushbutton keypad? If it is you've had some sort of short on your auto pump. Reset the pump by pushing the flashing button for 5-10 seconds. If it starts flashing again you'll have to find the short or reason the pump keeps tripping the circuit.

Your auto pump is locked up. Happens when the o-ring gets a water leak. The pump will need replaced at some point. Once you figure out which pump it is, There is a little black lever that needs rotated or pried out a little. Then the cartridge will twist out. Once it's removed you can either replace it or gab the shaft with pliers to free it up. If you free it and put it back in it will get froze up again at some point as water is leaking into it and causing it to rust up.

I had the same problem on my 211. If the reset that was referenced earlier doesn't work, pull the auto pump from the housing that it is installed in, fairly simple once you get to the actual pump. Then check the housing/canister that its in for obstructions that get caught in the fins of the motor. I had a small rock in mine, removed it, reset it, good to go!!!!
