    Alpha 199 livewell screens

My 199 is a 08 and my outside screens busted off. Were can I get replacements? Do they just pop off, or are they thru hull?

    Thanks

Mornin Rick, Rags here. Same thing happened to mine and this is the one i got. They are just pressure fitted. If i remember right, i had to cut it with a hacksaw blade to remove the broken sleeve.

You can order direclty from Flow-Rite. Yes they just push in. If they are older they can be a pain to get out as they get stiff. I put the smaller ones on this time. I have Rags old boat so I'll just blame him for damaging them...

"if", y'all replace the live well screens, I took some course grit sandpaper to the fitting. Makes them way easier to remove. My original live well screens were a bitch to get out.

I just replaced mine. Had too cut one out and the other 2 succumbed to penetrating fluid and pliers. Put silicone grease on the new ones.

Done mine today. First one popped right off. Next two sucked. I used a sawsall blade and cut one wall. Made it real easy. Glad I bought 2 small ones for outside and a big one for inside the livewell.
The big one would not fit under the divider. The small one did.

Thanks again for the help guys. Stay warm up north.
