Can I come over and use that lift!! I could wax the underside of my boat every week if I had a set up like that!

Am I seeing that right in that it’s a forklift slid into the chassis of an old truck?

    Thats pretty ingenious

Yes. Forks are around 60". Longer, used forks, are hard to find and expensive, and would probably require modification. Longer new forks are INSANE EXPENSIVE.
There are lots of "work arounds" for this.
Since we seldom need a longer "fork shape" to get under something. Yet, are always needing something longer to lift from above (truck cabs, flat beds........boats I guess?). We just modified a section of a truck frame. Forks slide into the rails and crossmembers make sure it's all secure and stable. Cost was basically nothing.
Like said above, whatever works. That frame section has been being used like that for about 20 years now.

The other side of the boat is SS Minnow wrecked. Close, but not quite as bad as my current boat. (bought it wrecked, repaired it, been happy with it for years). Bought them both about a month apart and just never got around to fixing this one. Now (years later), it's not worth fixing.
Got tired of looking at it and decided to strip it down and part it out.

Just thought it was a cool picture.
