Alright hunters and trappers of BBC: identify these tracks!

My father in law just sent me some photos of tracks in his yard and isn't buying the identifications I've made. Located in an outer ring suburb of the Twin Cities in MN. Here are the three photos he sent:

He said they're all about 3 feet apart.

To me, the first two photos are from a (gray) squirrel hopping along. I was initially 100% sure that the third is a deer, though them being 3 feet apart and never having seen a deer around this neighborhood gives me a little pause on that. I think if the deer was trotting that could explain them being that far apart, and that's honestly just about all it could be in my mind.

    What's everyone think?

Agree with squirrel for the first two, but last one looks more like a rabbit running away from something.

The rabbit on the last one makes a lot more sense than the deer given that lack of deer sightings. You guys that are saying rabbit...you think rabbit on all of them?

I think so but I’m no expert.

If they're tree-to-tree it's a squirrel. Squirrel and rabbit tracks often look similar if they're running in loose snow and the actual paw-prints are obscured.

Definitely loose snow. It was like 5 degrees when the most recent stuff came down so it's very powdery.

I'm not gonna lie, I'm not much of a hunter and never have trapped anything, but I consider myself enough of an outdoorsman to be ashamed that I didn't come up with rabbit as a possibility.

Rabbit tracks in all 3 pics! A deer would leave drag marks in the snow.

Rabbit in deep snow. Hopping and Sniffing. Not running. Appears to weight about 1.5lbs. Sort of cross between tan and gray. Left rear leg was injured back in the summer. Probably early July. Left eye is blue. Right eye is brown. Definitely been eating fescue rye blend.

Sorry, wish I had more info.
I think the new secret color is "A-Rig"..........
