12 volt in series charging ?

I have 2 12 volt batteries in series. I have a 2 bank 10 amp charger (5 amps per bank). What is the best way to connect the charger. Thanks for any help.

One bank to one battery, two banks, two batteries or, each bank goes to it's own battery.

They are built so you can hook one "bank" to one battery and the other bank to the other battery without unhooking either from the boat circuitry. It seem advisable to unhook your trolling motor however during charge.

Thanks. I need to ask another question. How would I connect the same charger, but with the batteries parallel. That was supposed to be the original question. My mind was thinking one thing, but my finger was typing something else. Sorry

For batteries in parallel, hook one bank to one battery and the other bank to the other battery. You do not have to remove the jumper between the batteries to charge. But, as noted, unplug the trolling motor before you charge.

As said above, either series or parallel connection, each battery gets it's own bank.
