Trolling motor shaft length on Z9?

Guys, I have a 2014 Z9 and looking to get a new Ulrex. My question is, should I get the 45 or 52 inch shaft? My boat is over 2 hours away and I forgot what is on there now.

I fish exclusively on KY lake (pretty big water) so thinking the 52 is best for main lake ledge fishing in wind / waves. Does anyone think that the 52 inch would be too big?

Without a doubt if you fairly often fish larger bodies of water or with a lot of boat traffic. Helps keep the prop in the water where it helps and can always adjust it up if needed. The only reason I wouldn't is if it didn't fit my boat. If you use a cover, might want to check the impact on that and the recessed tray.

Those Nitro MY's sat a little higher in the water so I would also agree with the 52.

I have a 52 on a Z20 and love it. Fits perfect on the boat.
