Do the new Helix 7 units not come with a cover?

They do not and it took me a while to find one that I liked. I wanted a rubber or hard plastic one and not the cheap neoprene one commonly found. I found this one and love it.

Thanks SGT! Had given up looking a short time after getting mine last year...usually remove the bow unit when towing but do you think it would remain in place while towing on the console unit??

No problem. I don't know why it was so hard to locate at first but maybe it was because it was a newly released product. Anyways, it's a better fit than the old plastic covers on the 1197/997 etc. I rarely traveled with them installed on my boat, but these covers are tighter. You could probably rubber band them for added protection against flying off but I remove my Helix 7 as it's on a RAM and quick and easy to do. Plus I don't want someone stealing it at a gas or rest stop.

Great find SGT. I spent 4 hours on Google and couldn’t come up with anything like this. Ordered one this morning.

That is the cover that came with my helix 9. I use a battery strap on mine and works fine. Thanks for the link.

Cabelas has covers that fit the 7, I have two of them and they are excellent.

There is also a neoprene cover available from Humminbird for th Helix 7. It seems to wrap around the unit.

I did not not want the neoprene one after inspecting them at BPS. I figured there had to be something different and am glad to find the hard rubber case.

Thanks, I ordered me a cover today.

*update* I got the cover in today, fits like a glove and looks great. They shipped it to me very quick, I will buying more from them for sure.
