    24p Fury on a TR186 w/150 opti

I am looking to get a little more speed, and wondering if anyone is running a 24p Fury 3 or 4 blade on a TR186 with a 150 Opti? I tried a 24p 3 blade several years ago, the whole shot was less than desired, but that was before i put a 6" plate on the boat, so I am wondering if i should give it another shot, maybe a 24p 4?

I have a 2010 18xs and 150 opti....i know its a completly different hull than yours but with mine theres no way i could turn a 24p prop...i have a 8" jackplate. Im currently running a 22tempest with good hole shot. And 56mph at 5850rpm. With full livewells hole shot is weak.

You will not be able to turn a 24 pitch prop with the weight of you, your tackle, and the power poles.

I ran a 24 fury on my old tr19 with a 200 2.5 efi.. It done pretty well until I had a full tank of gas and full livewells. When I was loaded heavy it would barley get on plane. I would say it would not do well with a 150 on a tr186..

I tried a tempest 24p with my Tr186 and even with my 175 optimax my hole shot when loaded sucked. The tempest 23p plus was my only choice.

I have been out of the loop for a little while. Getting fired up now with all the boat shows.

Is that a 3 blade or 4 blade?
