    Water pressure hose connection

I have a 2018 Mercury 4 stroke 150 hp Serial # 2B467430 that lost water pressure during break in. After removing the engine cover I found the hose that was disconnected. I re attached it and re gained water pressure. First question. Should that hose have a wire tie clamp? Second question. When hose came off a lot of water was sprayed around power head under engine cover. Is this something to be concerned with? Engine started and ran fine.

Depends on how the connection was configured. If FACTORY style connectors were utilized, it is a Legris Fitting (push in and lock).
