Jig I have a aluminium ranger 188c and can't get any where close to these results. I start loosing bottom as soon as the boat starts to plane. Is there some documentation on how to correctly setup the rv-100 transducer other than the manual. Thanks Steve

Unfortunately, on an aluminum bass boat, losing bottom quickly is common. “Bass” hulls typixally have a lot of turbulence at the transom. Turbulence (air) is a transducers worst nightmare. Aluminum boats don’t have a step option for mounting and a thru hull or shoot through won’t work.

I’d start with the transducer just below the bottom of the boat and tilt the back down slightly. Trying to create a smooth flow of water, not air, over the transducer face.

If it has rivets. that doesn't help either.
