What has you found to be the best overall deep cranking rod? Specifically covering the 6xd, 8xd, 10xd applications.

following as I need a deep cranking rod too....I just bought a Megabass Orochi XX Launcher for the 6xd's and I am thinking about getting a Dobyns Champion Extreme XP 806 for my 10xd's. Maybe some experts in here can chime in and help us.

I would look at the Loomis IMX Pro 968C to cover 6xd to 10xd. Ive fished the Deep Flex rods, and the fit, finish, and feel was awesome. I have not had the 968 in hand, but the specs are spot on for the range of baits.
I use the Abu Garcia Veracity 7'11" XH. It's a good value option with a nice moderate action. I spend a lot of money to get sensitivity on my finesse and bottom contact gear but just look for the right action for moving baits.

I use a Powell Max 806cb, Endurance 804cb and a Powell TW 7' 11" Big Cranks rods. The new Endurance rods has several rods to cover your needs at $150
PC70MHM 7' MH Mod. 1 10 - 20 3/8 - 1 4.5 3 $ 140
St Croix Premier series crankbait rod. I use it for anything that dives in the 10 - 18 feet range. Shimano Chronarch E5 reel. I've caught a ton of fish on this rod. Great action, very good feel. I use 10lb Flourocarbon line on it. The tip is soft enough not to rip baits out of their mouth, and I can throw a 3/8 - 3/4 oz bait a LONG way.

Megabass Leviathan would do it well.

IMO the best 6xd rod I’ve used to date is the black blank cumara 7’11 mh. For me there’s not a rod that will handle a 6-10 xd efficiently.
Power Tackle Makes there XLC it’s a 7’11 medium heavy graphite cranking rod that handles both very well.
A rod that will handle the 6XD effectively and efficiently will not handle the 10XD as effectively or efficiently and vice versa. In my experience, these are two entirely different baits in an entirely different class, though both are considered "deep crank baits."

I have the Abu Garcia Veracity 7' 11" XH but I did not like that rod because the sensitivity on that rod does not exist, the only way I can tell if my crankbait has reached bottom if the tip was moving. To me, I still want a rod that is still somewhat sensitive for moving baits because I want to feel what my bait is hitting.

Shimano Zodias MH composite will handle 6XD’s and 8XD’s. Bought mine from Tackle Trap last year.
There are a bunch of them out there. It all depends on your budget and personal preferences - length, glass vs non-glass, etc. UKCatsBasser mentioned the Zodias 76MH-G for the 6 and 8, but it's not enough rod for the 10. Stratos21XL mentioned the Megabass Leviathan, which in both the XX and Levante series is a good one for the 10XD, but is too much rod for the 6XD. Hammer Rods makes a swim bait model that handles a 8 and 10XD really well if you want something sub $200. If you like glass, St. Croix has their new Legend Glass series that work well. So many options and The Tackle Trap carries a bunch of them. You're welcome to PM or call the shop and we'll be glad to help find you exactly what you want tailored to your preferences. 256 281 6160

I recently started using a Fenwick Elite Tech Bass 7'2" MH rod for my 5 & 6XDs (or a little smaller). I'm liking it a lot. For 8 & 10 XD's, I don't think you can't beat a Falcon Lowrider XD heavy cranker. Specific and perfect for those big cranks.

Fishing is not a matter of life or death.
It's more serious than that!
Just get Gary to order you an 805 cb for NOW if you can only budget for one rod. It handles everything you’ve mentioned including 10xd’s in a pinch. Then save up and get the 806cb and you’ll be set.
