    4-Blade Prop Question

    Hey guys,
I normally run a 3-blade 26p Fury on my 2012 721 with 250 ProXs year round with good numbers. I have experimented with a 25p Fury as a backup prop but the rpms were too high. Considering selling or trading this one to experiment with a 4-blade prop to use when fishing 2-man tournaments with a heavy load. What pitch should I consider for the 4-blade?

My understanding with the Fury 4 blade, which is the preferred 4 blade prop for that setup, is that you keep the same pitch as your Fury 3 blade. So if you saw great numbers with the Fury 3 26p, I'd buy a Fury 4 26p.

The fury 4 will run slightly higher on the plate and supposed to run the same pitch as the fury. In actual practice though they run about 50 rpm higher in the same pitch. You will see more stern lift, less chine, slight holeshot improvement, much improved midrange, little “stiffer” ride, slightly less powerful loading.
