    Switched circuit breaker

I'm needing a 60 amp circuit breaker for my trolling motor. I'm hardwiring straight to battery so I want a breaker that has an on/off switch so I can kill power while charging. Any suggestions?

I use the one listed below for my TM batteries. No issues. They come in many ratings and have one for my Power Poles and Basscat installed one on the cranking battery as a secondary master power switch. They work great.

Try searching Eaton marine circuit breaker. That's just one, there are many others. Good luck.

Not sure that this inexpensive one would be ignition protected, a very important safety consideration in a boat.

I purchased this same one from Ebay and it works great. The spec. sheet indicates that it is ignition protected.

    Applications:
Typically used in auxiliary and accessory circuits in truck, bus’, RVs and marine systems.
Others include battery chargers and DC audio systems. Series 181, 184 & 185 are sealed for engine
    compartment and bilge area applications.

    Compliances:
SAE J1625; ABYC E-11; CE; SAE J1171 (ignition protected)

I found the same breaker for bit cheaper on this site with free shipping.

I purchased the blue seas 187 breaker. Now my question is which wires go where lol? It's not setup the same as my previous breaker

If your batteries are connected in series and you have the two wire system coming from the bow to the batteries, then the breaker goes on the positive wire coming from one of the batteries running to the front. Install it very close to the battery.

Does it matter which contact goes to each wire? I've got the postive wire coming from the bow then the other positive wire coming from the battery

You'll need to look at the info with the breaker or stamped on it. Some have a designated line and load terminal.

Is this made to turn on and off or just to reset when thrown?

Its made to turn on an off. Push in a little lever to turn on and push the red button to turn off. I mounted mine right on the battery.

As rocket man pointed out, it can be used to turn power on/off. I personally use a separate dedicated disconnect switch.
