I talked to them yesterday. Good prices. Have you bought from them before?

Your local Mercury dealer. The purchase is quick, but the service is everlasting.

I talked to a dealer near me and he told me that I could buy from Jacos cheaper than he could buy a Merc as a dealer. I guess Jacos buys in such large quantities that they get a heavy discount???

Read that Jerry sold out-- Was not sure if the new owners would keep the same low prices.
I have bought 3 motors from Jerry and Barbra -- But I do all my own rigging and maintenance which is not for everyone. The last two I bought had to be taken to a dealer to get the factory warranty.
There is no substitute for good local service (if available)..

So if you buy a Merc from Jaco's, you'll also have to find a local dealer to work with if you want the warranty?

Merc has to be hooked to there computer system and checked off by certified tech to initiate the warranty. Not sure but it may have to be delivered to one also. I have a local (non hi-po) dealer who has worked with me.. We hang the motor in his shop-- i take it home and hook everything up -- take it back he hooks it to computer and charged me for 1 hr labor.
