    2018 Alumacraft Pro 175

Looking at a 2018 Alumacraft Pro 175. Can anyone tell me how the at rest stability of these are? My current 2006 Tracker Grizzly 1860 is rock solid and I don't want to give that up.

Your not going to bet that 1860. With any boat in that class.

2 totally different boats. The Pro 175 is a fine boat for what its designed for.

Is fine for what it was designed for? Like maybe fishing? I am asking about "at rest stability".

Does the boat lean a lot with two anglers on the same side of the boat?

A jon boat tends to have a flatter hull design than a mod v so a mod v will lean some more. However the Pro 175 is a decent boat. Unless the two of you plan to stand on the gunnel at the same time I dont think you will have anything to worry about. I have a Tracker 175 with the revolution hull and Id call it tippy but nothing serious and ONLY if both of us get near the same edge for some reason.

I have a 06. And there is a big difference in a 54” bottom like ours, and a 60” bottom on all these newer models.

Very true. Ive ridden in a Rt188 that was rock solid with 3 adults standing on the gunnel just to test how much it would tip. It tipped but no where as much as I expected. I havent been in a newer Tracker txw175 to compare how much it dips compared to mine. I think the O.P. will be satisfied with a Alumacraft Pro175.
