I put a white one on about 5 or 6 yrs ago and it tends to get dirty. It's not real easy to reach when I wipe down the boat after taking out so it stays dirty most of the time. Wish I would have put a black one on.

    Quit fishing in sewage lagoons.

I've had all black ones. Seen many white that looked yellowish or dirty. If a white boat try yellow or red.

Lol, some of our lakes are fairly clean with about 3’ of visibility, but one of them has about 1 INCH of visibility. Nastiest water you could ever see.

Black for me for now on.

Mine's 18 years old and when I post pics, sometimes people tell me I need a keel guard because they can't see it on my white hull.

Had a white Hamby's on a Triton years ago and it eventually began to come apart. Hamby's prorated the replacement but at the time had quit making white one's due to that very issue. May be different now but it too was a bit faded when it was replaced (with a black one).

I had black installed on my white hull, and the contrast in colors looks good. I would go black.

I put a white one on and wish I would’ve gone with black. It’s dingy and yellowed. Definitely go with black!

I have a white keel guard on my '09 Triton and it has discolored the same as TroyBoy30's even though I wipe it down every trip. Still functional but definitely not at "pretty" as it was when new.

Does anybody make a product like the keel guard that would protect a kayak hull?
