721 minn kota trolling motor question

I have been kicking around upgrading my trolling motor....I have heard the foot pedal is a different size then the fortrex? Will the foot pedal for a ultrex fit in the recessed pedal tray in my floor of my 721?

In case it matters I have a 2012 721

It fit fine on my 2013 721.

Not sure what length you are looking at, but the 45 will fit under the cover, the 52 will not without it being modified.

What is the difference between the bolt hole patterns between the Fortrex and the Ultrex? Was a plate required? Any problems switching?
Ulrex is starting to look real nice for my back.

Bolt pattern is the same because the mount is basically the same. Some have had to use a space when going to 52" or notch bow shroud
