Fast Strike 150 Engine Tuner/Carbon Guard

I have a strong running 1992 Fast Strike 150 and use XD-50 oil. I have no concrete knowledge of it being de-carbed in the past. Would it be a good idea to use J/E engine tuner and then use the Carbon Guard on this motor or would I be asking for trouble? Since it runs strong I am a little hesitant to de-carb but I want to make sure I am keeping up with the best maintenance practices

    Thanks in advance

Add carbon guard to the fuel and let it do a "soft" decarb.

Thanks for the advice ChampioNman. I am going to start with running the carbon guard through a few tanks. Do you think a continuous "soft" decarb could render the same results as a full on decearb over time?
