    USA Intsalling a Recessed T-MOTOR tray on a 1996 209TE?

For those who have done it- is there a aluminum brace under the deck about 14" from the front panel where the trolling motor plug is? If so - I take it you will end up cutting that?
Have also heard you want to position the tray all the way to the front of the boat -not leaving a 1-2" gap between front panel and T motor tray?
Just looking for some helpful basic tips on doing the install-Thanks!

Yes you are correct on all accounts. Cutting the aluminum angle doesn't make the deck soft at all. I will tell you if you are cutting with a circular trim saw. Watch your depth towards the front of the pan. The hull gets real shallow up front. Ask me how I know... I would also have someone follow your cut with a shop vac. It's not hard you'll be drinking beer in an hour

The wiring is down in the V down the center of the hull. I used a hole saw to cut out a piece to get the thickness to set my saw. I think I took a Flashlight looked around a bit that probably wouldn't be a bad idea to just check

I just installed a comfortroll dlux on mine. I mounted it using the template provided and it almost fit. You have to cut the front corners out since this particular tray has a square bottom, not slanted like most. It worked great and it looks awesome!
