They put up temporary saw horse looking barricades here. We just moved them to get in and put em back when in (like opening and closing a gate).
Figured if they were not working, Then there wouldn't be anybody there checking things or writing citations.
I think the new secret color is "A-Rig"..........

It appears you are correct. I just read this article that says parks will remain open but the manned facilities (like welcome stations and such) will be closed since those employees will be sent home.

The only times I’ve ever seen the forest service do anything around here:
    1. Build a 2.5 lane gravel road to nowhere because they had extra funds
    2. Government shutdown to close boat ramps
    3. Send out letters to local tournaments/Tackle shops that tournament fishing on the lake would have to be registered through the office and have to carry insurance as an organization (quickly shot down and never mentioned again due to uproar)
Meanwhile not one ramp on the lake had a working light on the ramp all summer. Docks in disrepair (number strips knocked off... exposed screws sticking out). And ramps not built long enough so that you can currently (winter drawdown) launch a boat.

Congress will pass a funding bill again, and most furloughed employees will end up being paid for not working, again. It's sets a good example of using tax dollars to pay people not to work.

The issue is not a left or right issue, it's a Congress issue. Piggy backing items which are not part of the original reason for the bill should not be allowed.

Normally, I would agree with you on this but this is a LEFT issue as they are holding out on the DACA measure which could be tabled until March.

Still takes 60 votes. They do not seem to be able to work together on anything. Doesn't matter who is in power.
