Replacing Ulterra head to iPilot Link, stow or deploy?

I bought all parts need to turn my Ulterra to iPilot Link but should I install while the motor is in deploy or stow mode? Thanks in advance!

I took all that stuff apart in the stowed position, no problems and only one benefit, dropping parts don't go as far, or down the shaft

Stowed so the screws don’t fall everywhere.

Are they finally officially selling an upgrade kit for the ulterra?

I only bought the head unit from minn kota but saved money by buying the rest on ebay.

So I already had the 2017 BT version of ipilot and these is what I bought yo upgrade it to Link version. Will post a new thread soon after I upgrade my old Terrova to the BT version.

    BT Link Head Unit #2774166 = $282.46
    BT Link Remote #1866650 = $81.60 (ebay)
    Total Upgrade: $364.06
Having the ability to go to a spotlock/waypoint with a press of a button.....Priceless!

You got a steal on that remote if it is new. I am too anal to buy used when dealing with a product that has a battery in it.

Does that work for the Ulterra?
