As for photo bombing, look at Wayne's picture. Jarred was nowhere to be found, so I thought I'd help with the photo.
    They cut me out though!
What would have been an historic picture, is now just Wayne Dixon.

A blind hog finds an acorn every now and then! You're truly an inspiration Danny and you've given me hope that someday even I can finish above dead last.

Danny's method for catching them on a jerkbait.....cast it out, drag it down....smoke a cigarette. Twitch it twice....eat a cracker or two. Twitch again....eat a couple more crackers...he probable made about 10 casts all day long.

Same thing worked for me last two club tournaments, just keep enough tension in the line to communicate with my lure. Congratulations, Winter fishing is a technique that has to be learned by doing, hard to tell anyone how until they practice it.
I'll have to try your crankbait sometime until then I'll just have to use my Rapalas.

I'm just not ready for this thread to go away yet. It'll be 10 years before I see another one like it.
    And....Sam knows.
If not catching anything, the "infamous saying" in my boat is. "WWSD?"
Many times we spend the day hauling water, wondering...What Would Sharon Do?
And in the winter, that would be a jerkbait and one cast every 10 minutes.

What line do you use when your fishing like this? i've read where Mike Mcclelland says he likes using mono when your fishing this slow because fluoro sinking can actually cause the line to sink below the bait and get taught so the action isnt as good as having some slack in your line.

In my mind, dying shad sink. I don't want it to sink "noticeably" fast. And not all the time do I want one to sink, but, most of the time....yes.
10lb vanish transition floro. The line everybody hates.

Sometimes I try to lift it's nose without moving it forward.
Sometimes I try to turn it around where it's pointing the opposite direction.
Just all sorts of different stuff.
