    360 direction question

I understand that the 360 is simply a rotating SI and when you paint a target directly under the boat it will show on two sides simultaneously, but I'm still unsure which direction I should cast?

This one a little forward and right?

Not sure about this one, either back right or forward left?

I would back off so it's in front of you and cast at it.

Looks like a creek channel junction on the right side in the bottom image.

If a subject is recorded doubled, it is directly under the transducer, same thing the SI does. The brush pile is more prominent on the right side so vertical presentation off the right side of the boat. The top image position icon shows the waypoint to the right and so does 360. The waypoint icon is displayed as close as you will get sometimes.

I have two waypoints inside this foundation and another one that was created when taking a snapshot with icon.

Is the 360 calibrated to front-pointing direction in initial setup?

If you mount the 360 with the rounded end of the pointer directed forward, that is the orientation of the 360 view.

Then you match the Heading and Course, pages 30, 31, and 32 of the manual.
