Question Net storage / loose net

My 2014 21 HP has a landing net behind the passenger seat
It sits in a "holder" but as I drive the handle rotates up to about the 11 O'clock position
I have not lost it yet but it does concern me when it sticks up above the rear deck

I have considered a couple of solutions but have not done anything yet
I could simply tie it down but if forgotten it could cost me if I have a big fish on
any solution should still offer easy access

I am wondering if anyone else has had this problem, if so have you done anything about it or is it something I shouldn't worry about

I mounted one of the rubber rod straps in the top holes of th net holder and strap it in while I'm n the trailer.
i lay it in the floor when we are running

My boat doesn't have dedicated net storage. I strap mine on the left side of the front deck and the rods on the right side when fishing. I keep it in one of the rod lockers I use for general storage when trailering. Yep, all of my rods fit in one rod locker!!

Well from the looks of it, I am the only one with this problem
My plan is to attend the East Tenn Fishing show at the end of this month and look around for a fix
If nothing pops up there, I will order a rod tie down of some kind

    USA

You could start with a Bass Pro collapsible net. It helps a lot.

Get some Velcro and make a strap to hold the handle down. I strap mine flat down on the front deck with the rod strap over the right side box.

I don't have the storage tray behind the seat in my 09 20x3.....but I put mine there anyways. It has never moved on the water or on several hour trips driving to a far away lake.

In January I posted about my net rising up
In March it almost came out of the boat
I finally got around to fixing it today
Took 5 minutes and a Sams Fishing rod tamer strap from eBay
    Total cost $7.39

I’ve pulled my ‘13 20XS down the interstate for five years at mostly 70 mph but occasionally 75 mph, and net handle moves a little but nothing I worry about! If it ain’t broke don’t fix it!
