    Removing seat post plugs?

I've got a couple machined aluminum plugs for my seat posts holes and they are really tight - so tight I'm not sure of the best way to get them out? Flat screw driver? Anyone have an easier way?

Rent or borrow a steering wheel puller from an auto parts store. Drill and tap the plug for the center bolt on the puller. Put a wooden block under each end of the puller. Screw the center bolt into the plug and turn the bolt. You could also use a slide hammer puller and screw the slide into the plug.

Put an ice cube on the plug to loosen it. It will get colder faster than the base.
Since you are in NY, you need to warm up the base so you can cool down the plug.

Yikes, I'd slide some braid under the edge of it and work it around until I got an even pull up on it. To reinstall I'd tie a loop in the braid. Run plug thru it and put in. Then wrap a couple wraps around and barely leave another loop to catch next time.push in. Pull loop out. Unwind a time or two and repeat.
