Thanks...its only taken me two years to get everything finished. Mudding and sanding the drywall was the WORST part.

Looks good!! I'm in the process of working on my basement too, Been 12 years. After doing most of the work on my house I got burnt out. I moved in and quit. Finally got mud room framed and wired, one room, framed, wired and drywalled along with the bathroom walled and wired. Got painting and ceilings to do, that'll get half of it done. Hopefully get the other half done in 10 years.

The drywall was the killer for me,especially doing the ceeling.

I'm not going to fight the ceilings, making my own drop ceiling, covering it with metal.

Looking for ideas to finish/trim out the I beam support? I'm thinking of a faux rock or tile base with cedar around the pole.

I have a cabin in Colorado with an open building permit from 1973.
