    Solix 15 mega / Onix 10 si power draw

    Hello, just wanted to share my results how screen brightness effects to power draw.

    Heres what i got:

    Onix 10 +tm150+sidescan = 2amp
    Onix whitout transducers:
    Brightness
    1.85 amp 10
    1.67 amp 9
    1.47amp 8
    1.22 amp 7
    1.09 amp 6
    0.98 amp 5
    0.96 amp 4
    0.95 amp 3
    0.94 amp 2
    0.94 amp1
    0.92 amp stand by


    Solix 15
    Whitout transducer
    Brightness
    2.80 amp 10
    2.32 amp 9
    1.86 amp 8
    1.40 amp 7
    1.21 amp 6
    1.03 amp 5
    1.01 amp 4
    0.99 amp 3
    0.97 amp 2
    0.96 amp 1
    0.98 amp stand by

    Didnt measure megatransducer if it draws more.

    The Night Mode sets it to 3 brightness

    Thanks! I think I will set my Solix 12 @ 7 or 8 and see how that goes. Decent sized difference.

    Wayne, a long while ago you posted this. Is the current draw similar on the current Solix 12 G2's? I searched, but maybe missed a more recent post like this. Thanks, Brian

    Wow, I wouldn't have thought that dropping the screen brightness a couple of numbers would make that much difference.
    I'm a bit concerned about battery draw myself. I went from a helix 5 and 7 to a helix 7,9,10 on my boat. Im going to change starting battery to a group 31. I do alot of night fishing in the summer, I used a dedicated 4th battery for electronics, blacklights, nav lights and livewell pumps on my Javelin, but I dont have room for a 4th battery in the boat I have now.

    Do not have a G2, BUT just going by the specs and performance with more POWER for Imaging, I would guess the G2 amps are higher.
