    191 oil rez locations

I am looking to move my oil reservoir out of the back compartment to free up space for a battery. Has anyone done this and if so anything I need to know. A 1998 191

In my 191 I have 4 29 size batteries and a small oil tank. I removed the large oil tank an placed the smaller oil tank between the two forward batteries and the fourth battery where the large oil tank was.

Pic? that would help a ton. I have three batts on passenger rear storage side for trolling motor. I have one battery and oil tank on driver side storage. The starting battery is too small size 25 i think to run graphs and wells.

You've got two choices on the oil tank size and pretty sure you have the standard 1.8 gallon tank the other is the larger one. About the only thing I can suggest would be to remove the oil tank and got the premix route. That way you can completely lose the tank. A group 27 is just about the same size as a 31.

I wanted to stay away from pre mix... but it sounds like the best option.

I run a 201 and the space back there is limited, I run a 24 V system and still run the VRO, I have no need to go to a 36V system and I sure can't jam a power pole pump back there. Of course the boat was built well before we had those items in today's fishing world. Good luck I'm sure you'll figure something out..
