I have several 90's era OMC trolling motors;some straight 24v, some 12-24v. Will the same wiring from batteries work for either/or or is there specific wiring diagram for each? Thanks in advance.

Not sure what you asking, but if you are wanting to run on 24 volt only then on the 12/24 volt motor you may have to rewire your plug for it to run in the 24 volt position.
The 12/24 motor will have three wires coming out of the foot pedal. Figure which wire is 24 then use it on the plug prong that is 24 volt. Should be a red, black, and a white or orange.

Most times the wiring is heavy enough for a 24 volt motor if it was previously used for a 12 volt motor. Wiring size accommodates the current (amps) required, and pound for pound of thrust, 24 volt motors use about half the current a 12 volt motor uses. One caveat, many tin boats from a major brand manufacturer were not wired with heavy enough wire from the factory.
Thanks guys. Wayne P. told me what I needed to know. Thanks again.
