Looking to get a carport for my boat

Tired of letting my boat bake in the sun, want to get a carport ordered. My boat is 24' by 8' on the trailer. Anyone have a setup size that works? Pics? Thanks.

Please remember even if you get a carport that’ll work make sure the gel covered. I get a lot of customers boats that are really hurt by indirect sunlight...

I had a local guy build a 12 x 26 for our pontoon... Wanted something to cover the boat during the winters of E. Tennessee, so nothing special. Ended up cheaper and I think it looks better... Just a thought... Dan

The Carolina carports are good. I have had 2 for years with no issues, a Toy Hauler and pontoon under one and a camper under the other one.

Sorry, I don't have any pictures, it's 4hrs a way at the lake... I paid him $1,800 and am very happy... Carolina Carports wouldn't work with us because we wanted it installed on a slight grade. Dan

I have two Carolina carports. One my daughter parks her car under and the other is for my wife's SUV and my daily driver car. My boat and truck stay in a 24x30 detached garage. The one that's sitting right behind my house actually sits on what is supposed to be a concrete patio. We decided to make it a parking spot so we put a carport on it. The concrete was already poured and it did not match the size of a the single carport they sell. I don't recall the exact size of a single carport but I do recall I had to pay for a larger size and have them cut it to match the size of my concrete pad. On the double carport beside my garage I think it is 22x20 or something close to that. I poured the pad and had it set on it. Both carports are about 10 years old and holding up fine. If my memory is correct both were right at or under 1000. I know for sure the smaller one was under 1K and I think the larger one was also...of course this was 10 years ago so I am sure they may cost more now.

I was taking pictures of my boat. You can see both carports in the background.

Look at Carportsandmore.com and you can play with the sizes and colors and see the prices as you change things around

What is the heat buildup like in these carports?
    How do they vent?
