Repairing screw holes below water line

I removed a transducer and plan on mounting my new one to the jack plate with a transducer shield and saver. I’ve got a couple of holes from where the old transducer was mounted below the water line. What’s the best way to fix these and make it look half way decent. My hull is white would filling the holes with white marine Tex work?

Yes Marine Tex is good stuff and although not pure white when cured it blends pretty well. Take a dremel tool with a cone type reamer and remove any chipped gel coat and to taper the hole to give the Marine Tex some area to adhere to. I did quite a few holes, gouges, and chips last year. Very pleased with the results.

I used these on some holes inside the boat and on the transom where I had removed an old ducer. Just add some sealer on the ones below the water line. Mine have never leaked.
