    17 225proxs removing spartk plugs

looking to winterize the motor and add the oil in cylinders and i was not sure I would be able to get at all pugs without removing other part. plug #6 looks like it could be a pain. I am looking at this wrong and it will be easier that it looks or do you have to removed other parts just to pull plugs?

Removing the lower cowling helps to eliminate damaging the cylinder head, and spark plug threads.......The long way is the best way.

I would take the lower cowl off. 4 bolts. I tried it without taking the lower cowl off when I first got my boat. Cracked a plug, no more.

It really doesn't take that much time and effort to R&I the lower cowls. My maintenance routine always includes the compressor strainer when I do plugs and on my engine that requires the port side cowl be removed. For me, it's simply not worth chancing a cracked or cross threaded plug. YMMV
