    08 Z520 250 HPDI, What Prop?

Looking at getting a new prop. Would like to have a little more bow lift at mid range compared to the Yamaha T1 25P. The T1 seems to run a little flat in the mid range for rough water. Boat details... 2008 Z520 single console, 250 HPDI Series 2, dual 10' Power Poles, Bob's / Ranger Hydraulic jack plate, and 36v Fortrex.

    Thanks for any suggestion!

I used to run a 25T1 on a Champ 198/225 HPDI, and it didn't lift at all until I had cup added to it. Then it worked great. I would send yours to Mark and tell him what you want.

Personally, I like running a 4 blade prop and I think there are a few guys on here with 250 Hammers and 4 blades. Hopefully they see this post and reply.

Have utilized two props (25T1 and a 26P Fury) for my 2008 z520, which is equipped with 1 PP, 10"Atlas and a 250 HPDI Series 2. I prefer the 26 Fury, which lifts my boat very well and will run low 70's with a light load. There's more there if tweaked out but I'm satisfied with that performance. The Fury creates enough bow lift that most would never believe they were riding in a Ranger. The 25T1 is a tad slower and creates less bow lift for me.

FWIW my buddy had that exact same rig and motor but with Talons and ran the 24 Croxton Razor4XL and ran great hole shot & mid range and lost a tad on top end. I run the same rig as you but with a Merc and Talons. I run a 25p Fury 4 blade and that is by far my favorite all around prop. I can get 71 tournament loaded with two guys which is slower than my 26p Tempest, but holeshot and mid range and handling are unbelievable. Huge stern lift and bow lift when I want it. The Fury 4 is my favorite prop to run.

On the hull that we run, the Fury 4 is a far better prop with my Merc motor than the Bravo. It's the best prop for my rig hands down. Top speed goes to a Tempest, but I'll sacrifice the 2-3mph top end for how this prop handles holeshot, and mid range. I would tend to think it'd be the same result with your Yammer.
